Just
on line a week ago and just found the Dollarhide Family Website.
After all the miles and letters, it nice to see I can sit at
home and do so much on my computer. My husband is a descendant
of Asahel Dollarhide b. 1757 in NC. who md. Youthann Williams
abt 1785. Asahel died 1840 in Decatur Twp. Marion Co. IN. Their
daughter Alice who married Abner S. Cox in Randolph Co. NC is
our line. Would like to find his descendants as he had about 12
children. Got pages of info and traveled to places they lived. |

They were married in Scott Co. VA. in 1838. His parents were
reported to be John Dollarhide and Jemima Osborne. |

i
am researching my wife's family. she is a descendant of william
and marica delhi (dollarhide). what i was able to find was that
one of their daughter's was constance delhi who married jean
ducourtenay in 1921. in 1924 they had a daughter named lorraine
ducourtenay. in 1944 she entered the u.s. coast guard. in 1961
she gave birth to lorraine jesse ducourtenay jr. in palm
springs, ca. on the birth cert. the father was listed as jean
ducourtenay and her mother's last name of holiday. this makes
things very confusing. about 5 years ago we contacted some
dollarhide descendants and they told us that william had been
assumed dead. in 1891 he had written his mother saying he was on
his way home. he never arrived. according to the archives he
married marica and moved west. because of fed. privacy acts it
is almost impossible to find out anything from 1920 forward. my
wife was raised as a foster child from 1963 and her mother was
constantly moving along the west coast from san diego to
washington. there are many questions. does she have any
siblings,aunts, uncles or what happened to her father. any bits
of information no matter how big or small would be gratefully
appreciated. thank you, larry and lorraine woods. |

name is Billie Denise Dollarhide. I live in CA. I am 31 years
old. I have two brothers: Harry Richard Dollarhide of Castle
Rock Colorado and Kenneth Lomont Dollarhide of Plaserville CA.
Our father, Harry Dollarhide Sr., now lives in Oklahoma with his
wife, Joan. If you have any future information on the Dollarhide

are tons of dollarhides throughout the southern oregon area.
half of them i do not know. my grandfathers name was melbin
dollarhide. i am very interested in the family geneology. i
would aapreciate any information on the family . i have just met
a cousin in medford and we are trying to see where we are
connected at. her name is jennifer and her dad is a dollarhide,
i think she said his name is jerry. im not sure. my family goes
back to the dollarhides that owned the toll gate in the pass, i
think it was on mt. ashland. |

My
maternal Grandmother was the late Amanda (Betty) Jane Dollihite
Millard (1909-1995) of Sequatchie,TN. She was born in 1909
around Paris, AR. Her father is believed to have been John
Dollihite, Sheriff of Paris, AR - died in line of duty about
1911-1917. Her mother was Ollie Beatrice Jewell, died abt 1917.
Betty and sisters Laverne and Mae were taken in by Mother's
brothers and raised in Jewell households around Paris. I have
located many Jewell's in Paint Rock Cemetery in Logan Cty, but
not much luck connecting Dollihites to my line. Especially
interested in John and Ollie resting place. Your help much
appreciated as I don't get back South much anymore! |

mother was Florence Marie Dollahite Currie. Her mother was
Willie Marie Manning and her dad was Samuel David Dollahite. He
graduated from Baylor and erected the First Baptist Church in
Marlin, Texas. He also had four sons, Samuel David, Herbert, Joe
and Edgar O. Out of the four sons only one had a son to carry on
the name, David Dollahite who is married but never had any
children. My Uncle Joe I understand has done extensive research
on the Dollahite Family. I do not know if these Dollahites are
related to any Dollarhide families. |

father is James Dollarhide born is St Paul VA. His mother -
Rosie Dollarhide Father - Jessie JAmes Dollarhide Grand Father -
Ed Dollarhide Grandmother - Bessie Dollarhide GGfather James
Dollarhide GGmother Janeva Rose Dollarhide. This is the line as
far as I know it. The family lived in or around VA, NC and Tenn.
I believe my son is the smallest Dollarhide ever born at 1 lb 7
ounces. God Bless Fairfax Hospital and the Fairfax NICU. Any one

great great grand mother was Nancy Dollarhide born March 14,
1821 in North Carolina died Dec 30, 1899 in Iona, Kansas (I
Think). My grandmother was born there. Her Husband was Fredric
Beeler born Feb 27, 1814 in Wheeling, West Viginia. I can
